We had a wonderful time at this delightful throwback of southern hospitality. An employee noticed walking up to the door a little before opening. We were welcomed in and the bartender was informed. We took a seat in the rocking chairs in the waiting area. The barkeep was up and running in no time and we were soon seated at the bar enjoying cold beverages. I had a tasty local beer, a tad hoppy but well put together my fellow traveler had a gin and tonic that made me relieved an Uber was prearranged. In a few moments we were presented with menus and informed we could be seated shortly or order immediately at the bar. We decided some appetizers at the bar to fortify ourselves was the best course. The black bean patties with peaches were flavor with a nice browning yet remained moist. The fried green tomatoes were, simply put, done right. A nice medium thick slice of a plump green tomato, not to much breading and fried just enough to be hot through. We thoroughly enjoyed the service, atmosphere, food and beverages, a splendid time was had by all.

Wow!!! Easy in! Great cocktail (Peach Margarita) and that bread! OMG. So good. Warm biscuit, corn bread, and choc chip mini muffin. Fresh, soft REAL butter. Never got our appetizer but...No worries, because every entree' comes with salad bar, as well as black eyed peas and collards! On the salad bar is pickled watermelon rind, okra and other scrumptious chilled items. The decor is sweetly southern, with balcony seating at the bar and a piano man on lower level. Great ambiance. Then, they brought that massive juicy ribeye, with a smoked gouda Mac n cheese that was to. die. for! The only pain I'm feelin right about now is in my gut!...but so worth it. The service from Ms.Cookie was excellent and on point. Thanks, Pittypats Porch! I'll return, for sure, once I recover from this visit; because, in the words of Ms Scarlett herself... "Tomorrow is another day."

So good!!!! Food was savory, hot, and delicious!! The atmosphere was old south with modern touches. The chicken salad on the sideboard was delicious. The fried green tomatoes and dipping sauce were cooked to perfection. The crab cakes were so flavorful. The grits were perfect. The fried chicken and ribs were great. The batter was seasoned nicely. The basket of warm bread and blueberry muffins were delicious and a nice touch. The hostess was so personable and friendly. The English gentleman who seated us was funny and inviting. Our waiter was nice but seemed like he was def at end of a long day.

Pittypats does it right with the southern cuisine. Tastes like good ol home cooked soul food. The rundown- Parking: go ahead and park in the parking deck closest to the restaurant. If you're dining at Pittypats, they'll give you a big discount on parking. Location: Right off Peachtee St. Across the street from The Westin Ambiance: Casual Okay to dress a little Seating: Good bit of seating downstairs from the main entrance (looks like a big plantation porch) Wooden tables and chairs Service: Service was just right for the occassion Cat took great care of us and answered all of questions for the evening Food: Cooked to perfection I went went with the fried catfish entree Came with rice (I added mac and cheese for 4 extra...worth it!) My guests ordered the fried chicken, which came with mashed potatoes. They ordered a side of mac and cheese as well. They got a breast, thigh, and a leg. All entrees come with access to the salad bar or you can get the salad bar by itself (its good enough to get full off by itseld) All tables also come with an assortment of bread (cornbread and biscuits) I left satisfied after partaking in the southern belle dessert.

Simply an amazing restaurant! Make a reservation if possible but they do take walkins and be hungry! The chicken and ribs were melt in your mouth good! Everything on the sideboard was fresh and delicious especially the Chicken Salad. Save room for dessert and get the peach cobbler! If you can drink get a specialty cocktail, best you will ever have I promise.

Located in Atlanta underneath a parking deck you would miss it if you weren't looking for it. They have been at this location for 60 years. Outside looks like a small diner, but inside is a spacious 2 storey establishment. The atmosphere is old south and food is quite good.

Terrance was our server and he was BEYOND wonderful. The fried green tomatoes were delicious. The salad bar is an added bonus. I can't remember the name of my entree but the meat was nice and juicy.
